Cambridge and London England

July 2024

From the grandeur and bustle of London, to the pastoral countryside that inspired Wordsworth, to some of the quaintest towns you'll ever experience, England delights. Stand in a desolate field and ponder an ancient stone circle. Strike up a conversation just to hear the King's English. Bite into a scone smothered with clotted cream, sip a cup of tea, and wave your pinky as if it's a Union Jack.

This trip will be headquartered in Cambridge but we will be doing 2 or 3 day-trips to London.

England is part of the United Kingdom, which also includes Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Most visitors head straight to England’s capital, London, which is home to iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey.

But, there are fantastic sites all over England, especially for Shakespeare and Harry Potter fans! Head to Stonehenge, Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and the hot springs of Bath.

With urban cities and towns that look like they’re from storybooks, England has an incredibly interesting history, age-old traditions, and spectacular gardens.

A hub for innovation and creativity housing the University of Cambridge, an institution dating back more than 800 years, the city of Cambridge is a hotbed of history and architecture. Take a punt on the River Cam to see the city from a unique perspective, or test your balancing skills on a stand-up paddle board for an adventurous way to see the sights. Create lasting memories exploring idyllic Cambridge - get into hustle and bustle of the city’s ever-changing market stalls, pick up tasty international street food, and climb up St Mary’s Church for panoramic views of Cambridge and beyond.

We will be staying inthe 5 Christs Court townhouse in Cambridge. The 5 Christs Court is a beautiful townhome surrounded by arts and history. Situated next to Christ's Pieces, the house has its living spaces on the top floor overlooking the back of Emmanuel College. It is within a 5-minute walk of most of the Cambridge colleges and market square and 10 minutes from the 'backs' and all the beautiful sites and experiences the city brings. The train station and links to London, Norwich, etc., are within walking distance. The house also has a secure dedicated parking space, which is rare in the city centre.

This home's fantastic central location allows guests to discover Cambridge's most famous sights and attractions. This apartment is excellent for a memorable holiday with friends or family or a romantic getaway for couples. Living spaces are ample and bright, with large windows allowing plenty of natural light. A decor blend of modern and classical styles and wooden elements creates an elegant and fashionable atmosphere surrounding the property.

The rooms are furnished and tastefully decorated, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay in a modern and minimalist style that fits perfectly with the luminosity and harmony of this property.
